AI Search Insider is produced by the team at 10X Search — an SEO and AI search visibility agency based in Centennial, Colorado. We work with real estate teams, marketing directors, and SMBs across North America.
We use SEO platforms every day — not to write about them, but to run actual client campaigns. That means we have genuine, sustained experience with Semrush, Ahrefs, Surfer SEO, SearchAtlas, and the other platforms we review. We know what works in practice, not just on paper.
We built AI Search Insider because we kept getting the same question from clients and prospects: “Which SEO tool should we be using?” Most review sites are written by affiliates who have used a platform for a free trial. Our reviews are written by people who have billed thousands of hours against these tools on real client accounts.
How We Evaluate Platforms
Every platform review is scored across five dimensions. Here is what each one measures and how scores are assigned.
Feature Depth
Scored 1–5Does the platform deliver meaningful capability across its stated feature set? We evaluate keyword research, site audit, rank tracking, competitor intelligence, and content tools independently. A platform that does one thing excellently but little else will score lower here than a genuine all-in-one.
Ease of Use
Scored 1–5How long does it take a competent marketer — not an SEO specialist — to get useful output from the platform? We evaluate onboarding, interface clarity, and the time-to-value curve. This matters because most businesses do not have a dedicated technical SEO resource.
AI Search Readiness
Scored 1–5Does the platform track or improve visibility in AI-generated answers — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews? This is the fastest-growing visibility gap in SEO in 2026. Most platforms score low here. We score it honestly.
Value for SMBs
Scored 1–5Is the platform appropriate for a small-to-medium business without a dedicated SEO team? We evaluate pricing relative to the features an SMB will realistically use, not the full feature set.
Value for Agencies
Scored 1–5Is the platform appropriate for an agency running SEO for multiple client accounts? We evaluate multi-project capability, white-label reporting, team features, and data volume.
Overall Score calculation: The overall score is a weighted average of all five dimensions. AI Search Readiness is weighted 1.5× given its growing importance in 2026. All scores are assigned by the 10X Search team based on active platform usage — not vendor-supplied data.
Our Editorial Independence Policy
We do not accept paid placements. No platform pays to appear on this site or to receive a positive review. If a platform approached us with a payment offer, we would decline and note it in the review.
We do not accept free subscriptions in exchange for favorable coverage. We pay for or already subscribe to every platform we review as part of our agency work.
We do not use affiliate links on review or comparison pages. If this policy changes in the future, it will be disclosed prominently on the relevant pages.

The recommendation is based on the genuine argument that most businesses need execution, not just data. We believe that. How We Keep Reviews Current
SEO platforms update constantly. Pricing changes. Features are added and removed. AI capabilities evolve rapidly in 2026.
Our update policy: every review is audited annually at minimum. Reviews are updated immediately when a platform makes a significant pricing, feature, or policy change.
Every page shows a “Last Updated” date in the review byline. If a review has not been updated in the current year, treat it as a starting point for your research — not a final verdict.
Pricing Change
If a platform changes its pricing by more than 10%, we update the pricing section within 30 days and adjust the value scores.
Major Feature Change
If a platform adds or removes a significant feature, we update the feature breakdown and reassess the overall score.
AI Search Development
If a platform releases meaningful AI search visibility tooling, we reassess the AI Search Readiness score and update the AI Search Gap section accordingly.
